Yes you can. Ceiling fan fixtures with integrated lighting are more commonly requested but canned lights are absolutely possible as part of your new patio cover built by Lone Star.

To install the canned lights in a patio cover two things are required:

1. Hidden electrical conduits to power the lights and wire them to switches.
2. A substantial ceiling structure with enough depth to install the lights.

These are both accomplished with insulated ceiling panels when you select a metal patio cover, which is the more commonly requested type of construction. You have no doubt seen metal patio covers with stamped or sheet metal roofing. This is entirely different. Insulated roof panels are thick aluminum sandwiches with layers of heavy gauge aluminum encasing a solid insulated core.

Insulated ceiling panels have numerous advantages, among them, the ability to use canned lighting.
