We can build just about any deck, foundations, or slab you desire for your covered patio. Some options just make more sense than others depending on your budget and what you're going to use the patio area for. Here are some common and popular selections when it comes to choosing the right foundation for your patio.
Poured Concrete Slab - The most common selection. A poured concrete slab is very functional and affordable. The hard level surface is great for storing anything on wheels like outdoor grills. Easy to clean, easy to maintain, slip resistant.
Stamped or Patterned Concrete - All the benefits of of poured concrete with more style.
Flagstone - Heavy, natural stone look and naturally slip resistant. A good choice for function and appearance. Requires a solid and deep foundation of fines, or sand to install properly. Can be more expensive than other choices but there is really no substitute.
Patio Pavers - Similar to brick but patio pavers are often made to interlock. They can form a more uniform and level deck than brick. Patio pavers are normally installed in a very tight pattern with little space for dirt to accumulate or weeds to grow.
Wood Decks - Nice for their aesthetic warmth and natural appearance. We use high quality protective coatings but be aware that wood decks still require more maintenance than other patio deck choices. Occasional cleaning and refinishing are required. Frequency of cleaning and refinishing will be determined by exposure to sun and rain.
Brick - Bricks looks very appealing. There are so many brick colors and styles to choose from that the finished result really depends on your selection and can match any look you're trying to achieve. Brick is sealed but may still require infrequent maintenance to stay clean.
We listed a few choices here but if you ave seen a patio deck somewhere that you want to get a quote for, we can do it. Most of our customers go with a poured concrete foundation and we recommend this for most patio jobs. Just don't assume that's the only way to go.
