Yes, in almost every case home owner's associations do approve of metal patio covers (And pergolas) built by Lone Star. This is a common question and for good reason. Many home owner's associations, or HOA's, forbid certain metal construction, especially roofs. If you wanted to build a patio cover with a corrugated sheet metal roof, it would probably be denied by your HOA. That is not the kind of metal patio cover we build.
At Lone Star we offer customers a choice of wood frame or metal construction. Metal is popular for good reasons. Our metal structures are built from heavy gauge aluminum with a factory baked-on finish over a wood grain texture. The recommended roof is built from insulated roof panels. These are hefty panels with metal skin enclosing a solid core. So, while the patio cover is metal, it is not what most people expect a metal structure to look or feel like.
We are experienced in dealing with HOA's and will help you get the approval process completed as quickly as possible. We will provide the required specifications and literature. We know from experience what HOA's look for when deciding if they will approve new construction and we provide that for you.
Of course we cannot guarantee that your HOA will approve of your new project, but if they don't, you lose absolutely nothing. We require no down payment so you won't even need to worry about a refund.
